Blockchain Introduction

Blockchain technology has revolutionised the payment industry, as Bitcoin – its first successful application proved that peer-to-peer transactions can be made on a global scale while completely eliminating middlemen. Over the course of 10 years, this technology has rapidly evolved to a point that it can successfully be utilized in almost any industry.

This 1-day blockchain training is intended to introduce attendees into basic principles of functionality of blockchain technology, overview of some of most prominent blockchain platforms and their features, security and practical workshop.

Agenda of the workshop is as follows:

  1. Introduction to blockchain – basic principles of the technology, how it operates, how it has been used during its lifespan and how it evolved. This section serves as an introduction into later sections of the training.
  2. Overview of the most usable blockchain platforms – today there are numerous blockchain platforms with different ways of utility and characteristics. This section serves to help participants understand a clear difference between various blockchain platforms and understand the level of differentiation between them.
  3. Blockchain security – advantages and issues – blockchain has been advertised as one of the safest systems in the world, but at the same time there were numerous cases of hacker attacks that were successful. This section serves to help attendees clarify and identify main advantages and disadvantages when it comes to blockchain security – and to utilize it to their own security.
  4. Use cases and workshop – this section is intended for hands-on experience where attendees personally use various blockchain applications for different purposes and get firsthand experience in using the blockchain technology.
